As dominant as Oscar Tshiebwe was in college during his time at Kentucky, breaking a number of NCAA records, the question remained about how his game would translate to the NBA. He is an undersized big at 6-foot-9 that lacks perimeter skills, however, he is an elite rebounder.
Going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft, Tshiebwe was signed by the Indiana Pacers, but was assigned to their G-League team the Indiana Mad Ants, along with former Wildcat Travis Reid. Through six games, Tshiebwe is averaging an unreal 19.2 points and 18.5 rebounds per game, including one game where he sat the Mad Ants franchise record with 28 rebounds.

His play has earned him an opportunity as he has been called up for the Pacers’ upcoming two-game trip to Miami with center Jalen Smith out of the lineup with an injury.
