Watch: Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards refuses to give a fan his jersey
After posterizing John Collins with what many called "the dunk of the year" on Monday night, Anthony Edwards gave fans at the Delta Center in Utah a peek into his mindset.
"Can I have your jersey?" asked a child as Edwards signed autographs after his team's 114-104 win.
"I gotta give it to Collin," Edwards responded as he returned to the locker room.

It was later revealed that Edwards was referring to Collin Sexton, not Collins, who left the game with a head contusion after being dunked on. However, one can see why fans mistook "Collin" for "Collins" following the events that transpired earlier in the night.
According to The Athletic's Tony Jones, Edwards and Sexton are "longtime friends" who grew up together in the Georgia area and wanted to share a jersey swap moment after the game.
So to be accurate about this: Anthony Edwards exchanged jerseys with Collin Sexton. The two are longtime friends from their days of growing up in Georgia....

After the game, Edwards revealed he never got a chance to meet with Collins and didn't know that the Jazz forward had suffered a head contusion.
"I hope he's okay," Edwards told reporters. "I didn't even know [he got hurt] until they told me. Prayers out to him, for sure."
Fortunately, Collins avoided a concussion, per NBA insider Shams Charania.
