Running a wrestling company is not easy with all the responsibilities, so is Tony Khan actually open to having someone take his spot in AEW?

Currently, AEW airs about five hours of TV each week across Dynamite, Rampage and Collision. Running one of those shows is enough work for anyone, but Tony Khan wants to handle the business personally. Therefore, he is responsible for creative, production, talent, venues, TV rights and so much more. No matter the age or experience, that is simply too much to handle.

And, do not forget he also owns Ring Of Honor (ROH). They no longer run many shows, but it is something else added to his growing work-pile. If anyone has seen ROH lately, the product is not great. The matches are always above decent because of the talent. Although, the lack of storylines and little TV presence is not helping. In fact, word is wrestles from AEW and ROH are not thrilled with their boss. To promote the Dynasty pay per view, Tony Khan took part in a media call. He was asked about having others help book AEW and while Khan did say he enjoyed the work, he acknowledged nobody can have the job forever.

AEW Could Eventually See Change

“With all positions, nobody lasts forever,” said Khan. “I won’t be here forever. It’s definitely one of the highlights of my life being able to be involved in these shows and work on these shows and do creative planning. I am having more fun than ever right now. I take it year to year, moment to moment and really loving what we are doing right now.”

He might love the business, but it is brutal and he needs help. Even Vince McMahon had a few people he always kept close. The last few years have seen a decline in AEW. That involves quality of the product going down and the shrinking fanbase does not help. And, he needs help outside of the EVPs The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. You need someone who is not an active wrestler and is not there to get over on the entire roster. So, will Tony Khan actually allow someone else to help book AEW?
